As you may or may not be aware, there is currently a worldwide shortage of natural Hessian/Jute for carpet backing. During this period we have had to source an alternative backing material to back some of our carpets. The alternative backing we have tested performs equally as well as jute, with the same supple feel and is of no detriment to the carpet. Should we need to use an alternative we will discuss this on a case by case order.
